Easton Human Rights Committee Reelects Bornstein as Chair, Plans Indigenous Fair Booth

EASTON — July 14, 2026 — Easton Human Rights Committee reelects leadership and commits to an Indigenous peoples theme for its October fair booth. At its July 14 annual organizational meeting, the all-volunteer committee unanimously returned Liz Bornstein as chair, elected Kat Kobelt as vice chair, and retained Kathy Foster as treasurer. Treasurer Foster reported the committee's account at $4,973.04, with June's Pride event closing roughly $21 ahead after $4,036.85 in expenses against $4,058 in revenue plus a $100 Roche Brothers gift card, supported in part by a $2,500 Massachusetts Cultural Council grant. For the October 4 NRT Harvest Fair, the committee agreed to center its booth on Indigenous peoples, with Bornstein, Kobelt, and Bryan assigned to develop programming and contact the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe before the August 11 meeting — the committee's last before the fair.
