EASTON — May 19, 2026 — Easton Historical Commission unanimously clears 162 Pine Street for demolition in a 13-minute Zoom meeting. The commission voted May 19 that the residential property at 162 Pine Street lacks historical significance, allowing its demolition to proceed without delay. The five-member panel — Chair Hurley, Hans, Bob Bishop, Steve Marsh, and Spencer — also voted to waive the technical review fee the applicants had requested be dropped. Member Marsh disclosed before the vote that the project's builder is a relative by marriage; he said the state ethics commission confirmed no conflict of interest exists and a disclosure form was filed with the Select Board. The commission also reappointed John Ventresco as its liaison to the Community Preservation Committee and reminded members that volunteer applications for two expiring seats are due to the town clerk by May 29.
