Easton Select Board Approves $1.12 Million Software Contract, Fills 20-Plus Volunteer Seats

EASTON — June 29, 2026 — Easton Select Board approves more than $1.9 million in contracts and fills dozens of volunteer board seats at June 29 meeting. The board voted unanimously to award a three-year, $1,120,292.89 contract to Tyler Technologies for Munis enterprise resource planning software, replacing the town's aging system in a deal funded by a $750,000 town meeting appropriation and a $300,000 school department commitment, with annual ongoing costs of roughly $170,000 split between the two entities. The board also approved a $459,915 contract with Industrial Protective Services LLC for new fire department breathing air packs, with Fire Chief reporting that existing equipment dates to 2007, is no longer being serviced by the manufacturer, and falls two industry safety cycles behind current standards. On the volunteer side, Julie Wheeler and Craig Bernard were appointed to the Agricultural Commission, Ed Hands and Rob Rogers were reappointed to the Community Preservation Commission alongside first-time appointee John Hosmer, and Brielle Foster was named to the Library Board of Directors in a 4-1 vote. Veterans Service Officer Jason Snyder received a citation from Governor Maura Healey and Secretary of Veterans Services Eric Gorolnik recognizing his work with the DeLowry family, presented in person by Coria Honan, Assistant Secretary for Engagement and Outreach and a former Easton VSO.
