Select Board · Meeting of October 19, 2026

Easton Select Board adopted a $25 quarterly stormwater fee expected to raise $1.3 million a year. Acting as stormwater commissioners, members Mark Lamb, Craig Barger and Dottie Fulginetti voted unanimously after Director of Public Works David Field said billing starts this month on residents' water bills, with non-water-service properties getting standalone bills. As the Select Board, the same three members recommended five November 9 Special Town Meeting warrant articles, including a $490,262 supplemental appropriation and a $200,000 transfer to the Injured on Duty Indemnity Fund covering three firefighters out on injury leave.

Field warned that failing culverts can close roads for "three or four years," citing a 2017-18 South Street collapse. The board also appointed Mark Rifkin, Jonathan Woodward and Lawrence Turner McKinney to town boards by 3-0 roll call votes and approved three one-day liquor licenses for local fundraisers.
