Easton's Board of Appeals approved a special permit to demolish a long-vacant duplex at 364 Depot Street and rebuild it as a single-family home.
Other Committee · Meeting of October 6, 2026
Easton's Board of Appeals approved a special permit to demolish a long-vacant duplex at 364 Depot Street and rebuild it as a single-family home. The board, newly renamed from the Zoning Board of Appeals, voted 5-0 under Chair Ryan Cook with members Ronald Hamburger, Mariam Gailey and Gene Rubble and Clerk Jeremy Kaye. Kathleen Dias, representing buyer Salk LLC, told the board the existing structure "is beyond salvage," citing mold, a failing fieldstone foundation and holes in the roof.
The Easton Historical Commission had already found the building "not preferably preserved" on September 16, conditioning any rebuild on an August 28 site plan. The board also accepted its September 8 minutes on a 5-0 vote and adjourned at 6:41 p.m.
