Easton Housing Authority Approves Solar Study, $297K Warrant
Other Committee · Meeting of September 8, 2026
Easton Housing Authority backs no-cost solar study, approves $297,242.76 warrant. Commissioners Christiane Sheedy, Thiebaud, Burrows, Paquin and Dennis Sheedy unanimously authorized a feasibility study with Resonant Solar, weighing a $207,199 annual National Grid bill against roughly $57,000 in combined Pure Sky and projected solar credits. July financials showed non-routine maintenance running $31,000 over budget, driven partly by an April 24 fire and ADA accommodation work; insurance has reimbursed $13,000 so far.
The executive director reported a four-day office email outage, saying "I have no email," and said the authority hired IT vendor Wizard to migrate systems to Microsoft. Units 123 and 124, damaged in the fire, remain on track for September 24 completion despite a lingering smoke smell.
