Easton Planning Board Approves Union Street Subdivision and Common Driveway 4-0

EASTON — June 22, 2026 — Easton Planning Board unanimously approved a definitive subdivision and common driveway special permit at 8 Union Street, creating one new rear buildable lot. The board voted 4-0 on both actions Monday, clearing the way for property owners Gilson and Bethany Fasella to build a single-family home with an accessory dwelling unit on a newly created roughly three-and-a-half-acre parcel accessed via a roughly 500-foot shared driveway off Washington Street. Attorney Barry O. Crimmins of Stoughton represented the Fasella family; surveyor Frank Riblin of Riblin Survey handled the technical filings. Two abutters appeared in public comment: William Gifford of 16 Kenneth Road asked whether the project could grow into a larger subdivision — Chair Robert Stetson confirmed a single-dwelling condition will attach to the approval — and Sandra Rollo of 16 Marshall Road asked about drainage impact on neighboring lots. The board also voted 4-0 to recommend that the Zoning Board of Appeals support a voluntary demolition special permit at 64 South Street, where an applicant seeks to raze a water-damaged structure and build a side-by-side duplex on a non-conforming lot in a federal historic district.
