Easton zoning board clears Stonebridge Homes showroom for vacant Bristol Drive lot. The Planning and Zoning Board voted 4-0 to endorse a site plan for a two-story, 7,700-square-foot Stonebridge Homes showroom and office building at 40 Bristol Drive, replacing an unused overflow parking lot. Engineer Scott Rogers of JK Home Engineering presented for applicant Stonebridge Homes Inc., represented by Mohammed Itani and Rami Itani.
Board member Ryan Cook called the site "an eyesore as long as I've been in town." The board separately voted 4-0 to recommend the Zoning Board of Appeals grant a special permit for the teardown and rebuild of a vacant, 20-plus-year-old nonconforming house at Depot and Porter streets. Staff previewed three zoning bylaw articles, covering data centers, battery energy storage and a new state variance standard, heading to the board's September 28 meeting.
